Most install problems come from a patch that stops halfway; running the launcher as administrator and letting the update finish prevents it.

  1. Download OldSchoolKO x64 Setup Cloud from the Download Game page of the site.
  2. Extract it into a folder; installing straight onto a drive works better than the desktop.
  3. Right-click the launcher or patcher in the client folder and run it as administrator.
  4. Wait for the update to finish and do not close the client during the patch.
  5. Log in with your account once the patch is done.

The account panel offers two-step verification (2FA) and a lock password; turn both on after you register to protect the account.

The forum's 2026 client thread asks for Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit. Some graphics may run on Windows 7, but the game does not run smoothly there.

If the game does not start or connect

  • Antivirus tools can flag game files by mistake: add the client folder to the exception list.
  • A VPN, proxy or custom DNS can cause connection problems; turn them off and try again.
  • On missing files or patch errors, update the client again.
